Silensomes™ are pooled human liver microsomes (HLM) in which one specific cytochrome P450 (CYP) has been chemically inhibited. It is necessary to use the SilensomesTM and the master control originating from the same HLM Batch. Silensomes™ are conditioned in a Tris-HCl buffer (pH = 7.4) with 250 mM sucrose. 

Original HLM batch was obtained from 150-donors pooled HLM with equal gender mix, i.e. 75 males and 75 females, from 20 to 79 years-old, essentially Caucasian.
